Nai Thon Beach
A beach almost all to yourself.
Nai Thon Beach in Phuket is not exactly crowded with tourists. In the low season, you can usually have the beach all to yourself. Even in the high season, the tourists may be few and far between. This photo is from a Tuesday in the high season.
The few tourists is not because the beach is worthless, quite the contrary as both the water and the sand quality at this 1 kilometres (0.6 miles) long beach is very good. The few guests are mainly because there are not many hotels here and because the beach is off the beaten track.
Between the beach and the beach road, there is a line of trees where you can find shade.
On the road along the beach you can find stalls where you can buy fruit, food, drinks and other refreshments. At least in the high season.
If you want to live with many stars, you can stay at Pullman Phuket Arcadia Naithon Beach Resort, located just north of Nai Thon Beach. However, if you are staying there, you may not even want to visit the beach. If you prefer the beach instead of a five-star pool, so you can stay at Naithon Beach Mansion, which also offers a more affordable price or at one of the other hotels near Nai Thon Beach.
