Ao Kham Beach
A useless beach on the east side of Phuket.
Ao Kham Beach is in the Ao Kham Bay on the south-east side of Phuket. Like most of the beaches on the east side, it is far from the picturesque beaches you see in photos in tourist brochures. It is not a beach you visit to take a swim. At high tide, the view of the bay is pretty, and you can get wet feet or even wet legs; at low tide, well, take a look at the photo:
At low tide, you will find most of the bay drained of water. There is only one reason to write about this beach, and that is to let you know what to expect if you stay at the hotels near the beach; you have to use the hotel pool if you want to go for a swim. Crowne Plaza Phuket Panwa Beach is right behind the beach while Villa Panwa and The Chalet Phuket Resort is in walking distance of the beach.
