Merlin Beach
An unattractive beach with pebbles.
Merlin Beach is next to Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa. The beach got its name from the hotel, which was formerly known as Merlin Beach Resort.
The hotel owns the land in front of the beach; however, unlike many other hotels that own the land in front of a beach, Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa does not block non-guests access to the beach. Then again, not many non-guests will want to visit the beach, as it has many pebbles and it is not very pretty. I have a feeling that even the guests at the hotel rarely visit the beach; the hotel pool looks much more inviting.
Besides Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa, the beach is within walking distance from Absolute Twin Sands Resort. Nonetheless, you may want to visit a beach further away instead, for instance, the much better Paradise Beach or the fantastic Freedom Beach.
GPS to the road to Merlin Beach: 7.883739, 98.273642.
