Tri Trang Beach

The peaceful beach at Tri Trang Beach Resort.

The road to Tri Trang Beach goes through the driveway to Tri Trang Beach Resort.

The 700 meter (2,300 feet) long Tri Trang Beach is nothing special. The sand is fine near the entrance; however, if you proceed a little farther down the beach, you will find pebbles at the water's edge. Although the pebbles do not cut your feet like seashells, they do make the beach less inviting and less suitable for a swim.

Nonetheless, if you want a peaceful and quiet beach as opposed to Patong Beach, Tri Trang Beach may be the beach for you. From the far end of Tri Trang Beach, you can actually see Patong Beach and rejoice in avoiding the hustle and bustle of the most popular and populated beach on Phuket.

The green fence behind Tri Trang Beach is not pretty, and it does put a damper on the natural beauty of the beach. The fence has been there for at least four years; so, probably, it will not disappear overnight.

GPS to the entrance of the beach: 7.886152, 98.277548.

I have not yet written about all of the beaches; thus, there are a few inactive links on the list. Please be patient, I will get to them. The list is in geographical order, starting at the north side of Phuket, then down the west side and finally up the east side.
