Nai Harn Beach
A lovely beach in the southern part of Phuket.
Nai Harn is a 700 meters (0.4 mile) long lovely beach with fine sand and excellent swimming conditions in the season between November and April. However, be careful in the monsoon season, as rip currents are frequent here.
At the southern end of the beach, you will find a small lagoon at high tide. The lagoon is very suitable for young children to play in the water.
At Nai Harn Beach, you are not disturbed by noisy motorized beach toys such as jet skis and speedboats. Here, the only vessels you will see on the water are sailboats. And an occasional canoe that you can rent on the beach. You can also rent mattresses and beach umbrellas.
Behind the beach, you will find a variety of shops with souvenirs and beach toys and some kiosks to supply you with sweets, drinks and other necessities. If you are hungry or if you want to enjoy a cold beer in the shadow, you will find several restaurants here.
At the northern end of the beach, you will find the expensive, five-star hotel The Nai Harn, which attracts some sailing guests.
There are no other hotels close to the beach because the monastary Thai as Samnak Song Nai Harn owns much of the land behind the beach. A little further away, but still within walking distance, you will find the more affordable All Seasons Naiharn Phuket Hotel.
GPS to the parking lot at Nai Harn Beach:7.777956, 98.305111.
I have not yet written about all of the beaches; thus, there are a few inactive links on the list. Please be patient, I will get to them. The list is in geographical order, starting at the north side of Phuket, then down the west side and finally up the east side.
